Abstract: The contemporary world is characterized by the intense circulation, sharing, and multiplication of data. The more capable of accessing, mobilizing, and giving meaning to this information, the more integrated the individual feels in society. Information mediation is the process of interaction that takes place in the relationship between the mediator, the individual receiving mediation, and the informational environment aiming at the appropriation of information and the consequent production of knowledge, also capable of generating new conflicts and new informational needs. As part of this continuous movement, there is the information mediator, and regarding his relevance in this process, we ask what his fundamental characteristics would be, whether there would be a facilitating profile for this role, and what would need to be included in his know-how. The objective of this article was to outline such a profile based on the opinion of experts; To this end, the Delphi method was used, based on the meeting of experts who, following certain stages of work in the presentation of ideas, reach a consensus on a central theme. For data collection, experts with investigative experience and significant academic production in information mediation were invited. Data analysis and discussion resulted in a list of words categorized into characteristics of the information mediator profile and mediating actions, both necessary for the exercise of information mediation; From this alignment, we conclude that it is, indeed, possible to configure a starting point as a reference for information professionals in their role as mediators. Resumo: O mundo contemporâneo é caracterizado pela intensa circulação, partilha e multiplicação de dados. Quanto mais capacitado para acessar, mobilizar e dar significados a essas informações, mais inserido se sente o indivíduo na sociedade. A mediação da informação é o processo de interação que acontece na relação entre o mediador, o mediando e a ambiência informacional visando à apropriação da informação e à consequente produção de conhecimentos, capaz também de gerar novos conflitos e novas necessidades informacionais. Como parte desse movimento contínuo, está o mediador da informação e, sobre sua relevância nesse processo, indaga-se quais seriam suas características fundamentais, se existiria um perfil facilitador para esta função e o que precisaria ser incluído no seu saber-fazer. O objetivo deste artigo foi delinear tal perfil a partir da opinião de especialistas; para tanto, utilizou-se o método Delphi, fundamentado na reunião de especialistas que, seguindo determinadas etapas de trabalho na exposição de ideias, chegam a um consenso sobre um tema central. Para a coleta de dados, foram convidados especialistas com experiência investigativa e produção acadêmica significativa acerca da mediação da informação. A análise e a discussão dos dados resultaram em uma lista de palavras categorizadas em características do perfil do mediador da informação e em ações mediadoras, ambas necessárias para o exercício da mediação da informação; a partir de tal alinhamento conclui-se que é, sim, possível configurar um ponto de partida como referência para os profissionais da informação em sua atuação como mediadores. RESUMO Objetivo: Aborda a importância da leitura do livro “O Diário de Anne Frank” nas ações de mediação da informação e leitura realizadas em bibliotecas com fins educacionais, focando na promoção dos direitos humanos. O estudo visa destacar como essa leitura pode contribuir para a reflexão crítica sobre desafios sociais contemporâneos, como diversidade, inclusão e combate à discriminação. Método: Conduziu-se uma pesquisa qualitativa e exploratória com base em uma abordagem interpretativa da mediação da informação, leitura e referência crítica. A pesquisa se fundamentou em uma revisão bibliográfica, centrando-se na obra “O Diário de Anne Frank” e concebendo a informação contida nessa obra como um instrumento de prática emancipatória. Resultado: Consiste no agenciamento de ações que incentivem a leitura mundo de forma reflexiva, possibilitando a compreensão do contexto histórico de Anne Frank e sua relevância para as questões sociais contemporâneas, especialmente aquelas relacionadas à diversidade e direitos humanos. Almeja-se a criação de espaços de reflexão com abordagem didática voltados para a análise crítica da obra, visando o cumprimento da função social da leitura nas bibliotecas. Conclusões: Entendeu-se de forma interpretativa que a leitura do livro “O Diário de Anne Frank” representa um testemunho histórico com diversas implicações para o público que o interpreta. Trata de uma série de tópicos relevantes que podem ser debatidos no contexto da leitura, contribuindo para a formação de perspectivas individuais e para a promoção dos direitos humanos. ABSTRACT Objective: This study addresses the importance of reading the book “The Diary of Anne Frank” in the context of information mediation and reading actions carried out in educational libraries, focusing on the promotion of human rights. The study aims to highlight how this reading can contribute to critical reflection on contemporary social challenges, such as diversity, inclusion, and combating discrimination. Methods: Qualitative and exploratory research was conducted based on an interpretative approach to information mediation, reading, and critical reference. The research was grounded in a literature review, centered on the work “The Diary of Anne Frank,” conceiving the information contained in this work as an instrument of emancipatory practice. Results: It consists of fostering actions that encourage reflective reading, enabling the understanding of Anne Frank's historical context and its relevance to contemporary social issues, especially those related to diversity and human rights. The aim is to create spaces for reflection with a didactic approach focused on the critical analysis of the work, aiming to fulfill the social function of reading in libraries. Conclusions It was interpretatively understood that reading “The Diary of Anne Frank” represents a historical testimony with multiple implications for the interpreting audience. It addresses a series of relevant topics that can be discussed in the context of reading, contributing to the formation of individual perspectives and the promotion of human rights. RESUMO O texto aborda o conceito de mediação, utilizado tanto na área de Educação quanto na Ciência da Informação, numa trajetória que transita do aspecto epistemológico do vocábulo até aproximá-lo à perspectiva do materialismo histórico, dialético, marxiano que influencia a obra de Vygotsky (1995) e Bakhtin (1997); também dialoga com Freire (2003) e Almeida Júnior (2015), autores que têm sido utilizados nas áreas em destaque. Nesse âmbito, usa-se o método bibliográfico para discutir perspectivas do conceito de mediar defendido pela Educação e pela Ciência da Informação, tendo como suporte aspectos da teoria vigotskiana. Conclui que ambas as áreas possuem convergências e divergências que podem ser equalizadas para um melhor aproveitamento da mediação em prol da leitura, da formação do leitor em ambas as áreas.

ABSTRACT The text approaches the mediation concept, used in the area of Education as in Information Science, in a path that goes from the epistemological aspect of the word to approximate it to the perspective of the historical materialism, dialectic, marxian that influences the work of Vygotsky (1995) and Bakhtin (1997); it also dialogues with Freire (2003) and Almeida Júnior (2015), authors that have been used in the highlighted areas. In that context, the bibliographical method is used to discuss perspectives on the concept of mediating protected for the Education and for the Science of the Information, tends as support aspects of the Vygotskian theory. It is concluded that both areas have convergences and divergences that can be equalized for a better use of the mediation on behalf of reading and reader’s formation in both areas.

Defende que a base teórica da Arquivologia proporciona condições fundamentais para que, no âmbito da prática, se desenvolvam operações metodológicas que resultem no tratamento adequado dos documentos. Dessa forma, ressaltando a práxis arquivística, compreende-se a utilização de instrumentos e técnicas como uma mediação de sistemas, na qual as etapas da metodologia arquivística atendem ao objetivo primordial de organização de massas documentais, possibilitando seu tratamento, com o propósito de recuperar e disponibilizar as informações dos respectivos conjuntos documentais. A atuação técnica de profissionais da informação, especificamente do arquivista, nesse contexto, já configura uma mediação, mas uma mediação, sobretudo, que lida com a protoinformação. Dessa forma, argumenta-se que é necessário entender como essa protoinformação torna-se informação. Afirma-se que, nesse sentido, a mediação da informação apresenta-se como objeto que vislumbra tal compreensão, partindo, para tanto, do parâmetro da apropriação da informação dos usuários-pesquisadores do arquivo e sua produção e/ou alteração do conhecimento resultante da relação com esse ambiente, para garantir, de fato, uma mediação da informação arquivística. Advoga que essa perspectiva inovadora da mediação da informação nos arquivos, caracteriza uma abordagem que carece de maiores reflexões na área.

The text analyzes the Archivology and its relationship with the mediation of information. Argues that the theoretical basis of Archival Science provides key condition of the scope of practice, to develop methodological operations that result in the proper handling of documents. Thus, highlighting the archival practice includes the use of tools and techniques what is one system mediation, where the stages of the methodology archival has the primordial objective with organization archival, to retrieve and available information from respective sets of documents. The technical work of information professionals, specifically the archivist in this context already set up a mediation, but, especially dealing with the proto-information. It should be recognized as it becomes proto-information in information. Thus, it is argued that it is necessary to understand how this proto-information becomes information. It is said that in this sense, the mediation of information presents itself as an object that sees such an understanding, of the beginning to end, the parameter of the appropriation of information of users-researchers of archives, and their production and / or modification of knowledge resulting from the relationship with this environment to ensure in fact a mediation of archival information. Hopes that this innovative approach of mediation of information in the archives featuring an approach that requires one further reflection in the area.
