resumo: Neste trabalho é proposto um processo computacional para obtenção de curvas de interação M-N para pilares mistos preenchidos de seção retangular, por meio da compatibilidade de deformações na seção transversal. Considerando flexão composta reta, foram desenvolvidas expressões que relacionam esforço normal, momento resistente, profundidade da linha neutra e resistência dos componentes da seção transversal. Tais expressões foram implementadas em uma ferramenta computacional que possibilita a definição dos pares resistentes M-N. As deformações específicas últimas de compressão do concreto e de tração no aço foram definidas com auxílio da norma brasileira para estruturas de concreto armado ABNT NBR 6118. Para verificação do processo elaborado, os resultados obtidos foram confrontados com curvas simplificadas traçadas de acordo com os modelos da ABNT NBR 8800, ABNT NBR 16239 e EN 1994-1-1 e com resultados da literatura. O modelo proposto apresentou boa concordância com resultados da literatura e estimou, com boa precisão, os momentos resistentes últimos. Por meio de um estudo paramétrico foi avaliada a influência da resistência à compressão do concreto, resistência ao escoamento do aço e taxa de aço nas curvas de interação M-N. Os resultados mostraram que a resistência ao escoamento do aço e a taxa de aço foram as variáveis que mais influenciaram nos valores resistentes (força normal e momento fletor).

abstract: In this paper, a computational code was developed to obtain M-N interaction curves for rectangular concrete-filled steel tube columns considering the strain compatibility in the cross-section. Considering the composite section subjected to uniaxial bending moments, expressions were developed to determine normal force, moment resistance, neutral axis depth and components resistance of cross-section. Such expressions were implemented in a computational tool developed to the authors and that allows to obtain the M-N pairs of strength. The steel and concrete ultimate strains were defined with the aid of the Brazilian standard for reinforced concrete structures ABNT NBR 6118. The obtained results were compared to simplified curves defined according to the theoretical models of ABNT NBR 8800, ABNT NBR 16239, EN 1994-1-1 and literature data. The proposed model showed good agreement with literature results and had good precision to estimate the ultimate moment values. To further understand the resistance of composite columns under uniaxial bending moments, parametric study was performed to evaluate the influence of the compressive strength of concrete, yielding strength of steel and steel area ratio on M-N interaction curves. The results indicate that the yielding strength of steel and the steel area ratio were the variables that most influenced the values of composite columns resistance (normal force and bending moment).

Resumo Concretos autoadensáveis devem apresentar simultaneamente fluidez e coesão, sem a presença de exsudação e segregação. Essas características necessárias do concreto no estado fresco, comumente, só são possíveis mediante altos teores de finos e, por consequência, maior consumo de cimento na produção. A consolidação desse material tem instigado a busca de soluções para reduzir o consumo de cimento e emissões de CO2. Visando a uma contribuição para a sustentabilidade ambiental e a indústria de cimento, esta pesquisa verificou a viabilidade técnica e econômica do concreto autoadensável com baixo consumo de cimento. As densidades dos concretos foram determinadas, assim como sua resistência à compressão e tração por compressão na diametral. Foram analisados três concretos com o consumo de cimento reduzido e um concreto de referência. As relações água/cimento, fíler calcário/cimento e sílica ativa/cimento foram mantidas constantes, enquanto o consumo de cimento variou entre 434,00 kg/m3 e 325,50 kg/m3, obtendo-se, assim, redução de até 25% do consumo de cimento. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que é viável a produção de concretos autoadensáveis com baixo consumo de cimento com garantia da qualidade de suas propriedades mecânicas, com reduções aproximadamente de custos e de emissão de CO2 de 6% e 19% respectivamente em relação ao concreto de referência.

Abstract Self-compacting concretes must simultaneously present fluidity and cohesion without the presence of exudation and segregation. These necessary characteristics of concrete in the fresh state are usually possible only through high contents of fines and, consequently, higher consumption of cement for its production. The consolidation of this material has instigated the search for solutions to reduce cement consumption and CO2 emissions. Aiming to contribute to environmental sustainability and the cement industry, this research study investigated the technical and economic feasibility of self-compacting concrete with low cement consumption. The densities of the concretes were determined, as well as their resistance to compression and diametral compression traction. The study analysed three concretes with reduced cement consumption and one reference concrete. The water/cement, fibre limestone/cement and active silica/cement ratios were maintained constant, while cement consumption ranged from 434.00 kg/m3 to 325.50 kg/m3, thus achieving a reduction of up to 25% in cement consumption. The results showed that it is feasible to produce self-compacting concrete with low cement consumption, guaranteeing the quality of its mechanical properties, with approximately cost reductions and CO2 emission of 6% and 19% respectively in relation to the reference concrete.

ABSTRACT This paper deals with the analysis of monotonic loading behavior in pull-out tests. The main objective is to obtain a reliable numerical model to represent the steel-concrete bond behavior using previously obtained experimental results. The tests were performed in RILEM pull-out specimen using 10 mm steel bar and concrete with compressive strength of 30 MPa. The numerical study used Ansys® software, based on FEM (Finite Elements Method). The numerical simulation adopted non-linear constitutive relationships to represent the behavior of both concrete and steel. A contact surface composed of special finite elements modeled the interface between the concrete and the steel bar, allowing a steel–concrete slip. The numerical analysis performed with variation of the main parameters of the software permitted determining the best ones, and choosing them to obtain a good representation of the bond phenomena. The numerical results had a good agreement with the experimental results. Both linear and non-linear approaches represented the pre-peak behavior, however only the non-linear model gave the best approach for the pull-out force. In addition, the numerical results had shown the simplified model can be used to represent the steel-concrete bond behavior reducing the processing time for current structures analysis.

RESUMO A consolidação do concreto como segundo material mais consumido no mundo tem instigado a busca de soluções para reduzir o consumo de clínquer e as emissões de CO2. Visando o fornecimento de uma contribuição para a sustentabilidade ambiental e da indústria de cimento, esta pesquisa busca analisar a viabilidade econômica do concreto autoadensável (CAA) com baixo consumo de cimento. Por intermédio da aplicação do método de dosagem de Gomes (2002) para o CAA, foi realizado um estudo da otimização do esqueleto granular e da composição da pasta, sendo aferido reduções de até 25% do consumo de cimento em relação ao CAA de referência. No que tange aos índices de consumo relativo de cimento e de custo unitário por MPa desenvolvido em 1 m3 de concreto, foi verificado que os CAAs com baixo consumo de cimento apresentaram reduções de até 34,75% e 16,83%, respectivamente, ao ser comparado com o CAA de referência. A maior efetividade na redução do índice de consumo relativo a resistência mecânica à compressão do que no consumo de cimento por m3 de concreto observado, se deve a constatação de maiores patamares de resistência mecânica à compressão para a composição com menor volume de pasta e de maior proximidade ao índice ótimo de vazios encontrado na etapa do empacotamento de agregados. Tal resultado, demonstra indícios de que mesmo nas circunstâncias de dosagens com volume de pasta inferiores, a resistência mecânica à compressão pode ser aumentada, comprovando desta maneira a superioridade técnica e financeira do CAA com baixo consumo de cimento em relação as dosagens convencionais de CAA, além dos ganhos em sustentabilidade obtidos pela redução do consumo de clínquer e das emissões de CO2 inerentes a menor quantidade de massa de cimento por m3 de concreto.

ABSTRACT The consolidation of concrete as the second most consumed material in the world has instigated the search for solutions to reduce clinker consumption and CO2 emissions. Aiming to provide a contribution to environmental sustainability and the cement industry, this research seeks to analyze the economic viability of self-compacting concrete (SCC) with low cement consumption. A study of the optimization of the granular skeleton and the composition of the paste was carried out using the Gomes (2002) dosing method for the SCC. Reductions of up to 25% of the cement consumption were measured in relation to the reference SCC. Regarding the relative cement consumption and unit cost indexes per MPa developed in 1 m3 of concrete, it was verified that the SCC’s with low cement consumption showed reductions of up to 34.75% and 16.83%, respectively, while being compared to the reference SCC. The greater effectiveness in the reduction of the consumption relative to the mechanical resistance to compression than in the consumption of cement per cubic meter of concrete observed, is due to the observation of higher levels of mechanical resistance to compression for the composition with lower paste volume and higher proximity to the optimal void index found in the aggregate packaging stage. This result shows that even in the lower dosage circumstances, the mechanical compressive strength can be increased, thus demonstrating the technical and financial superiority of the SCC with low cement consumption compared to conventional SCC dosages, in addition to the sustainability gains obtained by the reduction of the clinker consumption and the CO2 emissions inherent to the lower amount of cement mass per cubic meter of concrete.

RESUMO Este trabalho aborda a influência do momento e número de alvéolos preenchidos no ganho de resistência à força cortante em lajes alveolares pré-fabricadas, por meio de um estudo teórico que faz uso das equações contidas na ABNT NBR 14861-2011 para o cálculo da resistência ao esforço cortante, e por um estudo experimental onde foram ensaiadas lajes sem alvéolos preenchidos, e com o preenchimento de 2 ou 4 alvéolos antes ou após a liberação da protensão na pista de concretagem. O estudo teórico aponta a vantagem da execução do preenchimento após a liberação da protensão, convergindo aos valores experimentais para lajes com 4 alvéolos preenchidos, porém diverge para o caso de preenchimento de 2 alvéolos.

ABSTRACT This paper discusses the influence of instances and quantity of filled cores on shear strength gain of pretensioned precast concrete hollow core slabs, by means of a theoretical study that uses the available equations given by ABNT NBR 14861 [3] for shear strength calculation, and an experimental study where slabs without core filing, with 02 or 04 cores filled before or after the release of the strands prestressing in the casting bed, were tested under shear strength. The theoretical study confirms the advantage of the core filling execution after the release of prestressing, converging from experimental study when 04 cores were filled and diverging from this when 04 cores were filled.
