RESUMO A espécie herbácea rizomatosa Hedychium coronarium J.Koenig é de origem asiática e ocorre como invasora na maioria dos estados do Brasil. O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar a influência de H. coronarium sobre as comunidades de herbáceas terrícolas e de regeneração natural de lenhosas em um remanescente de Floresta Ombrófila Mista Aluvial em Curitiba - PR. As comunidades foram amostradas considerando-se dois tratamentos: (EC) elevada cobertura de H. coronarium(>60%); (BC) baixa cobertura de H. coronarium (<30%). Foram avaliadas duas comunidades: i) espécies herbáceas (incluindo subarbustivas) e ii) plântulas de espécies lenhosas entre 15 cm - 130 cm de altura. No EC, H. coronariumapresentou cobertura média de 78,06%, sendo registradas apenas cinco espécies herbáceas nativas e 24 lenhosas nativas. No BC, a cobertura média da invasora foi de 6,29%, com registro de 17 herbáceas nativas e 37 lenhosas nativas. A herbácea nativa mais representativa foi Christella dentata(Forssk.) Brownsey & Jermy, enquanto, dentre as lenhosas, destacou-se Myrcia selloi(Spreng.) N.Silveira por sua frequência e abundância. A abundância das lenhosas no EC foi aproximadamente quatro vezes menor que no BC, mostrando que a elevada densidade de H. coronariumexerce influência negativa nas comunidades vegetais nativas. ABSTRACT Hedychium coronariumJ.Koenig is a rhizomatous herbaceous species native to Asia and invasive in most states of Brazil. We aimed to evaluate the influence of H. coronariumon terrestrial herbaceous communities and natural regeneration of woody plants in a remnant of Alluvial Araucaria Forest in Curitiba - PR. The communities were sampled considering two treatments: (EC) high coverage of H. coronarium(>60%); (BC) low coverage of H. coronarium(<30%). RESUMO O objetivo deste estudo foi comparar o desenvolvimento de dois clones de eucalipto sob a influência ou não da entrada precoce dos animais em sistema silvipastoril em Capixaba, Acre. O clima da região é AWI, com precipitação anual entre 1.680 a 2.580 mm, com estação seca entre maio e setembro. O delineamento foi inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial 2 x 2 com seis repetições e quatro tratamentos: a) Clone I144 com acesso do gado aos 9 meses (TR1); b) Clone I144 sem acesso do gado aos 9 meses (TR2); c) Clone VM01 com acesso do gado aos 9 meses (TR3); e d) Clone VM01 sem acesso do gado aos 9 meses (TR4). Os dados foram coletados das 16 árvores centrais de cada parcela, aos 9, 12, 19, 24, 32 e 36 meses de idade. Realizou-se a medição de altura total (HT), diâmetro à altura do peito (DAP) e o volume individual com casca de cada fuste para cada clone foi obtido por meio de cubagem rigorosa. ABSTRACT This study aimed to compare the development of two eucalyptus clones under the influence or not of the early animal entry into a silvopastoral system in Capixaba, Acre. The region's climate is AWI, with annual rainfall between 1,680 and 2,580 mm and a dry season between May and September. The design was entirely randomized in a 2 x 2 factorial scheme with six replications and four treatments: a) Clone I144 with cattle access at nine months (TR1); b) Clone I144 without cattle access at nine months (TR2); c) Clone VM01 with cattle access at nine months (TR3); and d) Clone VM01 without cattle access at nine months (TR4). RESUMO O mogno africano (Khaya grandifoliola) é uma espécie arbórea que vem ganhando espaço no mercado florestal, apresentando utilidade nas mais diversas utilizações, principalmente em território brasileiro, onde é o principal substituto da madeira do mogno brasileiro. O objetivo deste trabalho foi realizar uma análise de trilha entre a resposta da solução nutritiva ao tratamento com cádmio e as demais variáveis e atributos estudados: aminoácido, nitrato, proteína, amônio, redutase, IDM, cádmio. O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegetação. A princípio, as mudas foram habituadas para posteriormente serem levadas ao tratamento, onde a aplicabilidade se deu pelo cloreto de cádmio monohidratado (CdCl 2.H2O) de acordo com a solução nutritiva. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado (DIC), misturado em cinco concentrações (0; 10; 20; 30 e 40 mg L-1) com sete repetições, totalizando 35 unidades experimentais. Para realizar o exame comparativo, os dados foram submetidos à análise de variância, seguida de análise de regressão. ABSTRACT African mahogany (Khaya grandifoliola) is a tree species that has gained space in the forestry market, presenting utility in a wide range of uses, especially in Brazilian territory, where it is the main substitute for Brazilian mahogany wood. The objective of this work was to perform a path analysis between the response of nutrient solution to cadmium treatment and the other variables and attributes studied: amino acid, nitrate, protein, ammonium, reductase, IDM, cadmium. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse. At first, seedlings were habituated to be later taken to the treatment, where the applicability was given by cadmium chloride monohydrate (CdCl 2.H2O) according to the nutrient solution. The experimental design was completely randomized (DIC), mixed in five concentrations (0; 10; 20; 30 and 40 mg L-1) with seven replications, totaling 35 experimental units. To perform the comparative examination, the data were exposed to the analysis of variance, followed by regression analysis. ABSTRACT The objective was to determine the treatments and substrates that show the best behavior in relation to the germination of Juglans neotropica seeds. Five physical treatments were used in experiment one and in experiment two three physical treatments and three substrates were combined with completely randomized designs. Germination was monitored daily from 30 days after sowing. The evaluation was related to the germination capacity and the distribution of germination over time, such as: germination percentage, germination vigor, average germination time, speed coefficient, germination speed index and germination uniformity coefficient. The pre-germination treatments with a temperature of 40 and 50 oC in a stove with forced ventilation for two hours and the control, showed significant differences for all the variables, except the coefficient of uniformity, with respect to the scarification treatments with sanding. RESUMEN Se indagó determinar los tratamientos y sustratos más efectivos para la germinación de semillas de Juglans neotropica. Se realizaron dos experimentos: en el primero se utilizaron cinco tratamientos físicos, mientras que en el segundo se combinaron tres tratamientos físicos y tres sustratos, en un diseño completamente al azar. Se monitoreó la germinación de forma diaria, a partir de los 30 días después de la siembra, y se evaluó la capacidad de germinación y la distribución de la germinación en el tiempo, considerando variables como: el porcentaje y vigor de germinación, tiempo promedio de germinación, coeficiente e índice de velocidad de germinación y coeficiente de uniformidad de germinación. RESUMO As condições ambientais do México permitem a presença de várias espécies de bambu, onde, devido ao seu rápido crescimento e características, os usos comerciais se diversificaram. As Guaduas mexicanas são exemplares com características estruturais exemplares, porém não há informações cartográficas no México que permitam localizar e dimensionar as áreas onde estão ou podem estar localizadas espécies de bambu, o que restringe a tomada de decisão para plantações florestais comerciais. ABSTRACT The environmental conditions of Mexico allow the presence of several species of bamboo, where commercial uses have diversified due to their rapid growth and characteristics. The Mexican Guaduas are specimens with exemplary structural characteristics, however, there is no cartographic information in Mexico that allows locating and sizing the areas where bamboo species are located or can be located, which restricts decision making for commercial forest plantations. Therefore, it is intended to determine the probability of occurrence of the 7 species of this genus of bamboo, based on the maximum entropy approach and three arrangements of 21 environmental variables, for which 478 presence records were used. RESUMO Este trabalho analisou a concentração mundial das exportações de pellets entre 2012 e 2018. Utilizou-se os dados das exportações de pellets da Food and Agriculture Organization Of The United Nations – FAO e foram empregados os indicadores: Razão de Concentração[CR(k)], Índice de Hirschman-Herfindal (HHI), Índice de Entropia de Theil (E), Coeficiente de desigualdade de Gini (G) e o Índice de Hall-Tideman (HTI). Dos resultados notou-se que houve crescimento na quantidade de exportações mundial de pellets de madeira, com aumento de 9,71 x106 t, em 2012, para 23,67 x106 t, em 2018 . ABSTRACT This work analyzed the world concentration of pellet exports between 2012 and 2018. Data on pellet exports from the Food and Agriculture Organization Of The United Nations – FAO were used as were the following indicators: Concentration Ratio [CR(k)], Hirschman-Herfindal Index (HHI), Theil Entropy Index (E), Gini inequality coefficient (G) and the Hall-Tideman Index (HTI). From the results, it was noted that there was an increase in the amount of world exports of wood pellets, with an increase from 9.71 x106 t, in 2012, to 23.67 x106 t, in 2018. RESUMO A MOS (matéria orgânica do solo) é um reservatório natural de carbono e dividida em diferentes estágios de decomposição conforme sua solubilidade e complexidade estrutural. Diante desse contexto, este trabalho teve como objetivo quantificar os teores de carbono nas frações húmicas da matéria orgânica do solo sob sistema agroflorestal em três topossequências no brejo de altitude de Pernambuco, Brasil. O estudo foi desenvolvido na fazenda Yaguara, e as áreas estudadas foram mata nativa e três topossequências de sistema agroflorestal. As amostras de solos foram coletadas em trincheiras 1,5 x 1,5 m, nas profundidades 0-20, 20-40 e 40-60 cm, com quatro replicações. As concentrações de carbono nas frações húmicas do solo diminuíram com o aumento da profundidade. A área com sistema agroflorestal teve as maiores concentrações de carbono nas frações húmicas. ABSTRACT MOS (soil organic matter) is a natural carbon reservoir, and divided into different stages of decomposition according to its solubility and structural complexity. In view of this context, this work aimed to quantify the carbon content in the humic fractions of the soil organic matter under an agroforestry system in three toposequences in the swamp of altitude in Pernambuco, Brazil. The study was carried out on the Yaguara farm, and the studied areas were native forest and three toposequences of agroforestry system. Soil samples were collected in trenches 1.5 x 1.5 m, at depths 0-20, 20-40 and 40-60 cm, with four replications. The carbon concentrations in the humic fractions of the soil decreased with increasing depth. The area with agroforestry system had the highest concentrations of carbon in the humic fractions. The stocks of humic fractions found in the agroforestry system area showed higher average values in the top area 5.62, 9.72 and 22.53 Mg ha-1 in relation to native forest 4.84, 8.28 and 19.20 Mg ha-1, respectively for fulvic acid, humic acid and humine. RESUMO Os baixos valores de germinação encontrados na literatura para Butia eriospatha podem ser reflexo da fisiologia das sementes da espécie, que além de apresentarem dormência podem ter comportamento recalcitrante em relação à secagem e ao armazenamento. Diante disso, objetivou-se com o trabalho classificar as sementes da espécie quanto à tolerância à dessecação, utilizando métodos de secagem rápida e lenta, e definir os teores de água crítico e letal. As sementes foram coletadas em Lages/SC, beneficiadas e imediatamente foi realizado teste de viabilidade (teste de tetrazólio) e determinado o teor de água. ABSTRACT The low germination values found in the literature for Butia eriospatha may reflect the physiology of the specie's seeds, which, in addition to having dormancy, may have a recalcitrant behavior in relation to drying and storage. Therefore, the objective of this work was to classify the seeds as to desiccation tolerance, using fast and slow drying methods, and to define the critical and lethal water contents. Seeds were collected in Lages/SC, processed and immediately tested for viability (tetrazolium test) and water content determined. RESUMO O cultivo de nogueira-pecã (Carya illinoinensis K. Koch) e oliveira (Olea europaea L.) no Sul do Brasil próximo a áreas de pastagens e de cultivo de grãos tem registrado problemas de deriva de herbicidas. Diante disso, o objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar os efeitos fitotóxicos dos herbicidas 2,4-D e dicamba sob o crescimento de mudas de nogueira-pecã e oliveira. Para isso, utilizaram-se 8 subdoses, sendo elas 0; 1,56; 3,125; 6,25; 12,0; 25,0%; 50,0; e 100% das doses recomendadas para dessecação dos herbicidas 2,4-D (670 g e.a ha-1) e dicamba (720 g i.a ha-1). As aplicações foram realizadas em mudas com 80 cm de altura com auxílio de um pulverizador costal pressurizado a CO2 com volume de calda de 150 L ha-1. ABSTRACT The cultivation of pecan (Carya illinoinensis K. Koch) and olive trees (Olea europaea L.) near pasture and grain cultivation areas in southern Brazil has caused herbicide drift problems. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the phytotoxic effects of herbicides 2,4-D and dicamba on the growth of pecan and olive tree seedlings. RESUMO A rustificação surge como uma estratégia interessante a fim de melhorar a qualidade das mudas nos viveiros florestais, melhorando a sobrevivência a campo. Assim, o objetivo da pesquisa foi evidenciar alterações fisiológicas resultantes da aplicação de metil jasmonato e flexões caulinares nos três estádios de crescimento em mudas de Eucalyptus urograndis. O experimento foi conduzido em Marechal Cândido Rondon, no Estado do Paraná, e foram utilizadas mudas de Eucalyptus urograndis. Os tratamentos foram constituídos de aplicações semanais de metil jasmonato (MeJA) e imposição diária de flexões caulinares, além do tratamento controle. As análises consistiram na quantificação da rigidez flexural, lignina nos caules e raízes, compostos fenólicos nas folhas e raízes, perda de eletrólitos nas raízes e sobrevivência a campo. ABSTRACT Hardening appears as an interesting strategy to improve the quality of seedlings in forest nurseries, favoring their survival in the field. Thus, the objective of this research was to show the physiological alterations resulting from the application of methyl jasmonate and stem flexion in three stages of growth in Eucalyptus urograndis seedlings. The experiment was carried out in Marechal Cândido Rondon, Paraná, and Eucalyptus urograndis seedlings were used. Treatments consisted of weekly applications of methyl jasmonate (MeJA), daily imposition of stem flexion and a control treatment. Analyzes included quantification of flexural stiffness, lignin content in stems and roots, phenolic compounds in leaves and roots, electrolyte leakage in roots and field survival. Na indústria de painéis, as nanopartículas são utilizadas com o intuito de reduzir sua higroscopicidade, assim como melhorar as propriedades físico-mecânicas. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar o desempenho físico-mecânico e a transferência de calor no interior de painéis OSB (Oriented Strand Board) produzidos com madeira de Pinus elliotti Engelm e resina poliuretana à base de óleo de mamona (Ricinus communis L.) com adição de nanopartículas de óxido de zinco em dois diferentes teores (0,25% e 0,50%) e compará-los com o tratamento de controle. As propriedades determinadas foram densidade, teor de umidade, inchamento em espessura, resistência à flexão estática e arrancamento de parafuso, seguindo as orientações de normas europeias. ABSTRACT The use of nanotechnology has been growing in the last decade due to its different properties when compared to macro-scale material. In the wood composites area, nanoparticles are used in order to reduce its hygroscopicity and improve its protection against decay. The aim of this work was to evaluate the physical-mechanical performance and heat transfer inside OSB (Oriented Strand Board) produced with pine wood and castor oil (Ricinus communis L.) polyurethane adhesive with addition of zinc oxide nanoparticles in two different percentages (0.25 and 0.50%) and compare them with the control treatment). RESUMO A cidade de São Paulo possui três viveiros municipais de distribuição de exemplares de plantas que atendem à demanda de seus projetos paisagísticos e o aumento da cobertura arbórea. Um deles (Manequinho Lopes) recebe mudas de árvores pelos processos de compensação ambiental contratados pela Secretaria Municipal do Verde e Meio Ambiente (SVMA). Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o cenário da biodiversidade arbórea recebida entre julho de 2013 e julho de 2018 pelo viveiro Manequinho Lopes, como medida de compensação ambiental. Os resultados indicaram que 144.727 mudas de árvores foram recebidas pelo viveiro, com aproximadamente 80% do total pertencendo a apenas 30 espécies, sendo que metade delas pertencem a apenas 10 grupos diferentes. Encontramos apenas duas famílias predominantes: Myrtaceae e Bignoniaceae, evidenciando o futuro risco de homogeneização biótica. ABSTRACT São Paulo city has three municipal nurseries for the distribution of urban tree specimens that meet the demand for its public landscape projects and increase in tree covering. One of them (Manequinho Lopes) receives tree seedlings from the environmental compensation processes contracted with the Municipal Secretariat for Green and Environment (MSGE). This paper aimed to evaluate the scenario of tree biodiversity received between July 2013 and July 2018 by the Manequinho Lopes nursery, as a measure of environmental compensation. The results indicated that 144,727 tree seedlings were received by the nursery, with approximately 80% of the total belonging to only 30 species, half of them belonging to only 10 different groups. We found just two predominated families: Myrtaceae and Bignoniaceae, highlighting a biotic homogenization risk. RESUMO Embora avanços tecnológicos tenham ocorrido no setor florestal brasileiro, ainda não há uma padronização quanto à quantidade de água a aplicar nas diferentes etapas de desenvolvimento das plantas, e de doses de condicionadores de umidade do solo, visando a redução do déficit hídrico em solos sob cultivo do Eucalyptus urograndis. Diante disso, objetivou-se avaliar o uso do hidrogel em Eucalyptus urograndis associado a níveis de umidade do Latossolo Amarelo distrocoeso. O estudo foi conduzido em casa de vegetação da Universidade Federal do Recôncavo da Bahia. RESUMO Tem se intensificado a busca por alternativas sustentáveis e menos poluentes, como o aproveitamento de resíduos de biomassa para fins energéticos, substituindo os combustíveis fósseis e derivados. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o potencial energético de biomassas agrícolas e florestais para geração de energia. Além disso, determinar suas propriedades físicas, químicas e energéticas. Para realizar esta análise, utilizou-se cinco biomassas agrícolas e florestais de processos produtivos no estado de Pernambuco, são elas: bagaço de cana-de-açúcar, casca de eucalipto, cavaco de eucalipto, serragem de madeira e poda da arborização urbana do município de Recife. O bagaço de cana-de-açúcar (18.405 KJ/Kg), seguido pela serragem (18.115 KJ/Kg) e cavaco de eucalipto (18.024 KJ/Kg), obtiveram maior poder calorífico. Quanto à química elementar, o teor de hidrogênio foi o único que não apresentou diferença significativa entre as biomassas e o bagaço de cana apresentou os melhores valores de oxigênio e enxofre, além de alto teor de carbono. ABSTRACT The search for sustainable and less polluting alternatives has intensified, such as the use of biomass residues for energy purposes, replacing fossil fuels and derivatives. The objective of this study was to evaluate the energy potential of agricultural and forestry biomasses for energy generation, as well as to, determine their physical, chemical and energetic properties. To carry out this analysis five agricultural and forestry biomasses from productive processes in the state of Pernambuco were used, namely: sugarcane bagasse, eucalyptus bark, eucalyptus chips, wood sawdust and pruning of urban trees in the municipality of Recife. Sugarcane bagasse (18,405 KJ/Kg), followed by sawdust (18,115 KJ/Kg), and eucalyptus chips (18,024 KJ/Kg), had the highest calorific value. As for elemental chemistry, the hydrogen content was the only one that did not show a significant difference between the biomasses, and the sugarcane bagasse presented the best values of oxygen and sulfur, in addition to high carbon content. RESUMO A conservação e restauração da vegetação nativa no entorno de nascentes são de suma importância para garantir e manter a qualidade e quantidade dos recursos hídricos, possuindo caráter protetivo nas premissas legais do novo Código Florestal Brasileiro. Nesse contexto, objetivou-se neste estudo diagnosticar e propor ações de conservação ou restauração da vegetação nativa nas Áreas de Preservação Permanente (APPs) de dez nascentes localizadas em ambientes com intensa ação antrópica (urbanização e mineração) na microbacia do Córrego de Fechos em Nova Lima - MG. A partir de análises in loco, foi realizado o diagnóstico ambiental das nascentes e seu entorno, sendo este baseado em diversos parâmetros, tais como: formas de uso do solo, estado de conservação da vegetação arbórea, regeneração natural, serapilheira, ocorrência de invasoras e estado de conservação do solo. A definição das melhores alternativas de restauração florestal foi realizada a partir da aplicação da chave analítica de Brancalion et al. (2015). Dentre as nascentes avaliadas, 07 foram classificadas como pouco perturbadas, 02 como muito perturbadas e apenas 01 como degradada, não sendo registrada nenhuma nascente diagnosticada como conservada. Como estratégias de restauração, são indicados o favorecimento da regeneração natural de espécies nativas e o adensamento para aquelas nascentes classificadas como pouco ou muito perturbadas, sendo o enriquecimento indicado como uma estratégia adicional para as muito perturbadas. ABSTRACT The conservation and restoration of native vegetation around springs is extremely important to guarantee and maintain the quality and quantity of water resources, having a protective nature in the legal premises of the new Brazilian Forest Code. In this context, the objective of this study was to diagnose and propose actions for the conservation or recovery of native vegetation in the Permanent Preservation Areas (APPs) of ten springs located in environments with intense anthropic action (urbanization and mining) in the Córrego de Fechos microbasin in Nova Lima - MG. Based on on-site analyses, an environmental diagnosis of the springs and their surroundings was carried out, based on several parameters, such as: forms of land use, conservation status of tree vegetation, natural regeneration, litter, occurrence of invasive species and soil conservation status. The definition of the best forest restoration alternatives was carried out by applying the analytical key by Brancalion et al. (2015). Among the springs evaluated, 07 were classified as little disturbed, 02 as very disturbed and only 01 as degraded, with no spring being diagnosed as preserved. As restoration strategies, favoring the natural regeneration of native species and densification for those springs classified as little or very disturbed are recommended, with enrichment indicated as an additional strategy for those that are very disturbed.
