Com a finalidade de abordar globalmente o indivíduo internado, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo identificar os fatores geradores de ansiedade em pessoas hospitalizadas e como elas expressam seu desconforto ante à doença e à hospitalização. A coleta de dados realizou-se em abril/maio/96 com pessoas adultas internadas em um hospital-escola e apoiou-se em um roteiro para observação de situações ansiogênicas e em um roteiro de entrevista.. Constatamos como maiores preocupações dos pacientes: saber se a doença é curável, o tempo de internação, o trabalho e manutenção da família. Eles ficam mais tristes à noite e à tarde, períodos em que a equipe está reduzida, há mais silêncio e sentem solidão. Só um baixo percentual deles tem informação consistente sobre a doença e o tratamento, e mesmo assim o hospital, majoritariamente, é identificado como local bom pela possibilidade de cura, boa assistência e alimentação dispensadas. Presenciar o sofrimento e risco de morte do vizinho, ter alta, exames e procedimentos do tratamento suspensos ou retardados, ser comunicado da necessidade de operar-se ou de que a doença é incurável foram fatores ansiogênicos que se destacaram. Tanto nas reações imediatas quanto tardias às situações ansiogênicas predominam atitudes passivas como tristeza, choro, depressão e negativismo. Concluiu-se que a condição psíquica e emoções dos pacientes internados precisam ser contempladas em hospitais clínicos, privilegiando-se uma abordagem totalizante, com atenção especial para a agilização das intervenções e a consistência das informações a eles prestadas sobre sua saúde e tratamento.
With the punpose of completely appnoachirig the patunt in the hospital, this research had the goal to identify the generating factors of the of anxiety patient and how they express their uneasiness.towands the illness and the hospitalization the data were collected from april/may/96 with adults in a school-hospital and was based on a guide for observation of the anxieting situations and in an interview guide. We fround out that the patients' major concernias were: Knowing if their illness has aure, how long they will be there, their and the support of the family. They get sadder at night and in the afternoon, when twestaff is reduced, there is more silence and twey feel lonely. Only a small percentage of them have the consistint information about the disease and treatment, howerer, the hospital is mainly identified as a good place for the possibility of cure, good assistance and food. Witnessing the suffering and the dying risk of the neighbour, be discharged, exams and treatment procedures suspended on conceited, bling communicated of the necessity of bling operated on that the desease doesn't have a cure, were the anxieting factors that were remanked not only in the imediate seactions, but also in the lote ones of the anxieting situations, prevail passive atitudes suchas sadness, crying, depression and negativism. We concluded that the psychic and emotional conditions of the patients in the hospital have to be takin on consideration on hospitales emphasizing a comsiete appreach, with especial care of the speed of the actions and the consistence of the information given to the patient about their health and treatment.
