Abstract Objective Associate demographic and work data and the empowering behavior of the nurse-leader from the perspective of nursing technicians and assistants. Methods Cross-sectional and correlational research carried out in a tertiary university hospital in the state of São Paulo. A total of 260 mid-level nursing professionals (nursing technicians and assistants) participated, using self-administered instruments from May to August 2021. To verify the association between the scale classes and the explanatory variables, a chi-square or Fisher’s exact test was performed in the SAS program. Relationships were statistically significant if p<0.05. Results The profile of the participants was predominantly female, mean age 41.9 years, daytime workers, workload of 36.7 hours and satisfied with their work. The application of the Leader’s Empowering Behavior instrument showed that the domain with the highest average of empowering behavior was “meaningful work” and the one with the lowest average was “autonomy in relation to bureaucracy”. Nursing assistants and technicians who worked during the day did not have other work relationships and were satisfied with it, in addition to observing the leader’s empowering behavior more. Conclusion Nurses’ behavior to empower their team, from the perspective of technicians and nursing assistants in the studied hospital, was good in most domains, except in the domain “autonomy from bureaucracy”, where it was reasonable. Working the day shift, not having other jobs and being satisfied with the job were aspects of greater empowerment.

Resumen Objetivo Asociar datos demográficos y laborales con el comportamiento empoderador de enfermeros líderes bajo la perspectiva de técnicos y auxiliares de enfermería. Métodos Estudio transversal y correlacional realizado en un hospital universitario terciario del estado de São Paulo. Participaron 260 profesionales de enfermería de nivel medio (técnicos y auxiliares de enfermería), mediante instrumentos autoaplicados durante el período de mayo a agosto de 2021. Para verificar la asociación entre las clases de la escala y las variables explicativas, se realizó la prueba ji cuadrado o exacta de Fisher en el programa SAS. Las relaciones fueron estadísticamente significativas si p<0,05. Resultados En el perfil de los participantes predominó el sexo femenino, promedio de edad de 41,9 años, trabajadores del período diurno, carga horaria de 36,7 horas y satisfechos con el trabajo. La aplicación del instrumento Comportamiento Empoderador del Líder evidenció que el dominio con mayor promedio de comportamiento empoderador fue “trabajo significativo” y con menor promedio fue “autonomía con relación a la burocracia”. Los auxiliares y técnicos de enfermería que trabajaban en el período diurno no tenían otros vínculos de trabajo y estaban satisfechos con este, además de haber observado más el comportamiento empoderador del líder. Conclusión El comportamiento de los enfermeros para empoderar a su equipo, bajo la perspectiva de técnicos y auxiliares de enfermería en el hospital estudiado, fue bueno en la mayoría de los dominios, excepto en el dominio “autonomía con relación a la burocracia”, que fue razonable. Trabajar en el turno diurno, no tener otros vínculos y estar satisfecho con el trabajo fueron aspectos de mayor empoderamiento.

Conclusão O comportamento do enfermeiro para empoderar sua equipe, na perspectiva de técnicos e auxiliares de enfermagem no hospital estudado, foi bom na maioria dos domínios, exceto no domínio “autonomia em relação à burocracia”, em que foi razoável. Trabalhar no turno diurno, não ter outros vínculos e estar satisfeito com o trabalho foram aspectos de maior empoderamento.

Resumo O Agente Comunitário de Saúde (ACS) compõe a equipe de atenção primária e o caráter do seu trabalho pode representar risco para surgimento de morbidades. O objetivo do presente estudo foi analisar os fatores associados ao estilo de vida em ACS no Município de Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, Brasil. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, analítico e censitário. Foram utilizados instrumentos autoaplicáveis, contemplando fatores sociodemográficos, laborais, comportamentais, clínicos e o Questionário de Estilo de Vida Fantástico. Participaram do estudo 675 ACS, com média de idade 36.7±9.8. Cerca de 10% apresentaram estilo de vida regular. Observou-se uma baixa prevalência do estilo de vida regular entre ACS. Após a análise multivariada o estilo de vida regular manteve-se associado ao Índice de Capacidade para o Trabalho (ICT) inadequado (OR = 2.25; IC95: 1.30 - 3.91), a pior percepção do estado de saúde (OR = 2.66; IC95: 1.46 - 4.84). Os ACS que apresentaram Índice de Massa Corporal (IMC) alterado tiveram maiores chances de apresentar estilo de vida regular (OR = 2.33; IC95: 1.20 - 4.52). Observou-se neste estudo que fatores laborais e clínicos influenciam no estilo de vida dos ACS. Esses achados são relevantes, à medida que colocam em perspectiva elementos importantes que impactam a saúde dos ACS e que podem ser modificados através da implantação de programas de saúde ocupacional.

Abstract The Community Health Agent (CHW) is part of the primary care team, and the nature of their work can represent a risk for the emergence of morbidities. The present study aimed to analyze the factors associated with lifestyle in CHW in the Municipality of Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This is a cross-sectional, analytical, and census study. Self-administered instruments were used, contemplating sociodemographic, work, behavioral and clinical factors and the Fantastic Lifestyle Questionnaire. A total of 675 CHW participated in the study, with a mean age of 36.7±9.8. About 10% had a regular lifestyle. A low prevalence of a regular lifestyle was observed among CHW. After the multivariate analysis, the regular lifestyle remained associated with the inadequate Work Ability Index (WAI) (OR = 2.25; 95%CI: 1.30 - 3.91), the worst perception of health status (OR = 2.66; 95%CI: 1.46 - 4.84). CHWs who presented altered Body Mass Index (BMI) were more likely to have a regular lifestyle (OR = 2.33; 95%CI: 1.20 - 4.52). It was observed in this study that work and clinical factors influence the lifestyle of CHAs. These findings are relevant, as they put into perspective important elements that impact the health of CHAs and that can be modified by implementing occupational health programs.

ABSTRACT Purpose To compare the efficiency of different vocal self-assessment instruments for dysphonia screening. Methods 262 dysphonic and non-dysphonic individuals participated in the research. The mean age was 41.3 (±14.5) years. The diagnosis of dysphonia was based on the auditory-perceptual analysis of the sustained vowel “é” and on laryngological diagnosis. The responses of the instruments were collected: Voice-Related Quality of Life (V-RQOL), Voice Handicap Index (VHI), VHI-10, Voice Symptoms Scale (VoiSS), and the Brazilian Dysphonia Screening Tool, (Br-DST) called in Brazilian Portuguese Instrumento de Rastreio da Disfonia (IRDBR). To analyze assertiveness in relation to the presence of dysphonia, the cutoff points of each instrument and the decision rule recommended by the IRDBR were used. An exploratory analysis was performed to compare mean scores of instruments and verify associations between variables. Results The instruments evaluated were sensitive to capture the impact of dysphonia in a similar way regardless of professional voice use and type of dysphonia. There was a difference only in VoiSS scores for the variable gender, with a higher score for females. Regarding global assertiveness, the instruments showed high rates of success in classification, with emphasis on the VoiSS, which had the highest rate (86.3%), followed by the IRDBR (84.0%), VQL (80.9%), VHI (78.2%), and VHI-10 (75.2%). Conclusion The VoiSS has the highest assertiveness index in the identification of dysphonia, followed by the IRDBR. The IRDBR is a short, simple, and easy-to-apply tool for screening procedures.

RESUMO Objetivo Comparar a eficiência de diferentes instrumentos de autoavaliação vocal para o rastreio da disfonia. Método Participaram 262 indivíduos disfônicos e não disfônicos, com média de idade de 41,3 (±14,5) anos. O diagnóstico da disfonia foi dado a partir da análise perceptivo-auditiva da vogal sustentada “é” e do diagnóstico laringológico. Foram coletadas as respostas dos instrumentos: Questionário de Qualidade de Vida em Voz (QVV), Índice de Desvantagem Vocal (IDV), IDV-10, Escala de Sintomas Vocais (ESV) e do Br-DST (Brazilian Dysphonia Screening Tool), denominado no português brasileiro como Instrumento de Rastreio da Disfonia (IRDBR). Para análise da assertividade destes em relação à presença da disfonia, foram utilizados os pontos de corte de cada instrumento e a regra de decisão preconizada pelo IRDBR. Foi realizada uma análise exploratória para comparação das médias dos escores dos instrumentos e verificação de associações entre as variáveis. Resultados Os instrumentos avaliados foram sensíveis para captar o impacto da disfonia de forma semelhante independentemente do uso profissional da voz e tipo de disfonia. Foi observada diferença apenas nos escores da ESV para a variável sexo, com maior pontuação observada no sexo feminino. Em relação à assertividade global, os instrumentos apresentaram elevados índices de acerto na classificação, com destaque para a ESV que apresentou maior índice (86,3%), seguida do IRDBR (84,0%), QVV (80,9%), IDV (78,2%) e IDV-10 (75,2%). Conclusão A ESV apresenta maior índice de assertividade na identificação da disfonia, seguida do IRDBR. O IRDBR é uma ferramenta curta, simples e de fácil aplicação para procedimentos de rastreio.

Abstract Introduction Perinatal hypothyroidism has a negative repercussion on the development and maturation of auditory system function. However, its long-term effect on auditory function remains unsettled. Objective To evaluate the effect of prenatal hypothyroidism on the auditory function of adult offspring in rats. Methods Pregnant Wistar rats were given the antithyroid drug methimazole (0.02%-1-methylimidazole-2-thiol– MMI) in drinking water, ad libitum, from gestational day (GD) 9 to postnatal day 15 (PND15). Anesthetized offspring from MMI-treated dams (OMTD) and control rats were evaluated by tympanometry, distortion product otoacoustic emission (DPOAE), and auditory brainstem response (ABR) at PNDs 30, 60, 90, and 120. Results Our data demonstrated no middle ear dysfunction, with the OMTD compliance lower than that of the control group. The DPOAE revealed the absence of outer hair cells function, and the ABR showed normal integrity of neural auditory pathways up to brainstem level in the central nervous system. Furthermore, in the OMTD group, hearing loss was characterized by a higher electrophysiological threshold. Conclusion Our data suggest that perinatal hypothyroidism leads to irreversible damage to cochlear function in offspring.

Abstract Introduction Knowledge about the positive effects that music and dance bring, in its various forms, to the healthy human brain, is important not only in the context of basic neuroscience but may also strongly affect practices in neurorehabilitation. Objective To verify the relationship between hearing and movement and, specifically, to analyze the interference of professional dance practice and formal musical training in the magnitude of the vestibule-cervical and vestibular reflexes. Method The sample consisted of 92 subjects, aged between 18 and 35 years old, 31 professional musicians, 31 ballet dancers, and 30 control subjects. Only subjects with normal hearing sensitivity were included. Cervical vestibular evoked myogenic potential (cVEMP) was recorded in the sternocleidomastoid muscle, and ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potential (oVEMP) was recorded in the lower oblique muscle of the eye, using tone-bursts (500Hz). Analysis of variance (ANOVA) or Kruskall-Wallis tests were performed. Results The cVEMP presented earlier and higher amplitude waves when recorded in the group of dancers, with a significant difference between all tested groups for latency and amplitude of the N23 wave; the comparison was restricted between dancers and control groups, with no difference between ballet dancers and musicians. The N1 wave of the oVEMP presented lower latencies in dancers than in musicians and controls (p= 0.001). No significant differences were found between the groups for the P1 wave. Conclusion Greater magnitudes of vestibule-cervical reflex responses and faster vestibule-ocular reflex responses were observed in dancers. Dance practice provides greater development of the vestibular system, but musical training also contributes to the magnitude of these responses.

Os métodos existentes para avaliar consumo alimentar estão sujeitos a erros de medição, especialmente à subnotificação de ingestão calórica, que descreve a ingestão calórica abaixo do mínimo necessário para manter o peso corporal. Este estudo buscou comparar a identificação de subnotificações de ingestão calórica através de diferentes equações preditivas e instrumentos para coletar dados dietéticos. Este estudo foi realizado com 101 participantes selecionados na terceira onda do Estudo Longitudinal de Saúde do Adulto (ELSA-Brasil) do Hospital Universitário da Universidade de São Paulo. A partir da avaliação dietética, aplicamos um questionário de frequência alimentar (QFA), dois recordatórios de 24 horas (24hR) pelo software GloboDiet e dois 24hR utilizando o software Brasil-Nutri. A subnotificação de ingestão calórica obtida pelo QFA foi de 13%, 16% e 1%, utilizando-se as equações propostas por Goldberg et al. (1991), Black (2000) e McCrory et al. (2002), respectivamente. Com essas mesmas equações, o 24hR achou uma subnotificação de 9,9%, 14,9% e 0,9%, respectivamente, com o software GloboDiet e de 14,7%, 15,8% e 1,1%, respectivamente, com o software Brasil-Nutri. Verificou-se baixa prevalência de ingestão calórica subnotificada entre os três métodos de captação de dados dietéticos por autorrelato (FFQ e 24hR com GloboDiet e Brasil-Nutri). As equações para cada método diferem entre si embora não tenhamos encontrado diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre os três métodos. A concordância de ingestão calórica entre os métodos foi muito semelhante, mas a melhor foi entre a GloboDiet e a Brasil-Nutri.

Existing methods for assessing food consumption are subject to measurement errors, especially the underreporting of energy intake, characterized by reporting energy intake below the minimum necessary to maintain body weight. This study aimed to compare the identification of energy intake underreporters using different predictive equations and instruments to collect dietary data. The study was conducted with 101 selected participants in the third wave of the Longitudinal Study of Adult Health (ELSA-Brasil) at the University Hospital of the University of São Paulo. For the dietary assessment, we applied a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ), two 24-hour diet recall (24hR) using the GloboDiet software, and two 24hR using the Brasil-Nutri software. The energy intake underreport obtained from the FFQ was 13%, 16%, and 1% using the equations proposed by Goldberg et al. (1991), Black (2000), and McCrory et al. (2002), respectively. With these same equations, the 24hR described an underreport of 9.9%, 14.9%, and 0.9% respectively with the GloboDiet software and 14.7%, 15.8%, and 1.1% respectively with the Brasil-Nutri software. We verified a low prevalence of underreported energy intake among the three self-report-based dietary data collection methods (FFQ, 24hR with GloboDiet, and Brasil-Nutri). Though no statistically significant differences were found among three methods, the equations for each method differed among them. The agreement of energy intake between the methods was very similar, but the best was between GloboDiet and Brasil-Nutri.

Los métodos existentes para evaluar el consumo de alimentos están sujetos a errores de medición, especialmente la infradeclaración de la ingesta de energía, caracterizada por la notificación de la ingesta de energía por debajo del mínimo necesario para mantener el peso corporal. El objetivo de este estudio era comparar la identificación de las infradeclaraciones de ingesta energética utilizando diferentes ecuaciones de predicción e instrumentos de recogida de datos dietéticos. El estudio se realizó con 101 participantes seleccionados en la tercera ola del Estudio Longitudinal de Salud del Adulto (ELSA-Brasil) en el Hospital Universitario de la Universidad de São Paulo. Para la evaluación de la dieta, se aplicó un cuestionario de frecuencia de alimentos (QFA), dos recordatorios de dieta de 24 horas (24hR) utilizando el software GloboDiet, y dos 24hR utilizando el software Brasil-Nutri. La infradeclaración de la ingesta energética obtenida del QFA fue del 13%, el 16% y el 1,0% utilizando las ecuaciones propuestas por Goldberg et al. (1991), Black (2000) y McCrory et al. (2002), respectivamente. Con estas mismas ecuaciones, el 24hR describió una infradeclaración del 9,9%, el 14,9% y el 0,9% respectivamente con el software GloboDiet y del 14,7%, el 15,8% y el 1,1% respectivamente con el software Brasil-Nutri. Se verificó una baja prevalencia de ingesta de energía subdeclarada entre los tres métodos de recogida de datos dietéticos basados en el autoinforme (QFA, 24hR con GloboDiet y Brasil-Nutri). Aunque no se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre los tres métodos, las ecuaciones de cada uno de ellos diferían entre sí. La concordancia de la ingesta de energía entre los métodos fue muy similar, pero la mejor fue entre GloboDiet y Brasil-Nutri.

RESUMO No XXVIII Congresso Brasileiro da SBFa, 24 especialistas reuniram-se e, a partir de um posicionamento condutor sobre pesquisa científica como ferramenta de conexão entre laboratório e clínica, cinco frentes de conhecimento da especialidade de voz foram discutidas: 1. Julgamento perceptivo-auditivo da qualidade vocal; 2. Análise acústica do sinal vocal; 3. Autoavaliação em voz; 4. Técnicas tradicionais de terapia; 5. Técnicas modernas de eletroestimulação e fotobiomodulação em voz. A parte “a” desta publicação é a consolidação das análises dos três primeiros aspectos. A tendência no julgamento perceptivo-auditivo da qualidade vocal é o uso de protocolos padrão. A avaliação acústica do sinal vocal é acessível e pode ser feita de modo descritivo ou por extração de parâmetros, preferindo-se medidas multiparamétricas. Finalmente, a análise do próprio indivíduo fecha essa tríade de documentação fonoaudiológica, que será base para a conclusão da avaliação, referência para monitoramento do progresso e avaliação de resultado de tratamento.

ABSTRACT During the XXVIII Brazilian Congress of SBFa, 24 specialists met and, from a leading position on scientific research as a tool for connecting laboratory and clinic, five fronts of knowledge of the voice specialty were discussed as following: Perceptual-auditory judgment of vocal quality; 2. Acoustic analysis of the vocal signal; 3. Voice self-assessment; 4. Traditional techniques of therapy; 5. Modern techniques of electrostimulation and photobiomodulation (PBMT) in voice. Part “a” of this publication was associated with the consolidation of the analyses of the first three aspects. The trend in the perceptual-auditory judgment of vocal quality was related to the use of standard protocols. The acoustic evaluation of the vocal signal is accessible and can be done descriptively or by extraction of parameters, thus preferring multiparametric measures. Finally, the analysis of the individual himself closes this triad of voice documentation, which will be the basis for the conclusion of the evaluation, reference for monitoring progress, and evaluation of treatment results.

RESUMO O presente texto é a continuação da publicação referente ao XVIII Congresso da SBFa. Na parte “A” apresentamos análises sobre avaliação clínica vocal. O foco da parte “B” são aspectos de reabilitação vocal: 4. Técnicas tradicionais de terapia vocal; 5. Técnicas modernas de eletroestimulação e fotobiomodulação aplicadas à reabilitação. Os inúmeros estudos sobre os diversos programas, métodos ou técnicas tradicionais de reabilitação, muitos de elevada qualidade de evidência, permitem considerar tais procedimentos relativamente bem descritos, seguros e com efeitos conhecidos, dando conta do tratamento de diversos distúrbios vocais. As evidências científicas com as técnicas tradicionais são reconhecidas mundialmente. Novas frentes de evolução, como o uso da eletroestimulação ou fotobiomodulação em voz parecem ser promissoras como abordagens coadjuvantes. Há mais estudos sobre eletroestimulação em voz do que com fotobiomodulação, contudo, evidências científicas para essas duas técnicas modernas são ainda limitadas. Conhecimento e cautela são necessários para a aplicação de quaisquer técnicas.

ABSTRACT This text is the continuation of the XVIII SBFa Congress publication. In part “A” we presented the analyses on clinical vocal evaluation. Part “B” focuses on vocal rehabilitation: 4. Traditional techniques of vocal therapy; 5. Modern techniques of electrostimulation and photobiomodulation applied to vocal rehabilitation. The numerous studies on the various programs, methods, and techniques of traditional rehabilitation techniques, and many with high quality of evidence, allow us to consider such procedures relatively well described, safe, and with known effects, accounting for the treatment of various vocal disorders. The scientific evidence with traditional techniques is recognized worldwide. New fronts of evolution, with electrostimulation or photobiomodulation used to handle voice problems, seem to be promising as coadjutant approaches. There are more studies on electrostimulation in vocal rehabilitation than with photobiomodulation; however, scientific evidence for these two modern techniques is still limited. Knowledge and caution are required for the application of either technique.

RESUMO Objetivo: Associar o absenteísmo dos enfermeiros e técnicos de enfermagem com o ambiente de trabalho na unidade de urgência e emergência. Método: Estudo de coorte, unidade de urgência e emergência de hospital público, 57 técnicos de enfermagem e 14 enfermeiros, de outubro de 2017 a outubro de 2018. Aplicação de instrumento com dados sociodemográficos e laborais, absenteísmo referido e versão brasileira validada do Nursing Work Index Revised. Análise por regressão logística múltipla, associações significativas se p< 0,05. Resultados: Ambiente de trabalho apresentou média 3,10 para enfermeiros e técnicos de enfermagem. Quanto mais desfavorável o ambiente, maior a chance de não comparecimento ao trabalho. Fatores que aumentam a chance de absenteísmo: ser solteiro ou divorciado e trabalhar em período noturno. Fatores que diminuem a chance: ser enfermeiro e possuir outro emprego. Conclusão: O ambiente de trabalho desfavorável à prática profissional aumenta a chance de absenteísmo dos enfermeiros e técnicos de enfermagem.

ABSTRACT Objective: Associate the absenteeism of nurses and nursing technicians with the work environment in the urgency and emergency care unit. Method: Cohort study, urgency and emergency care unit of a public hospital, 57 nursing technicians and 14 nurses, from October 2017 to October 2018. Application of an instrument with sociodemographic and labor data, reported absenteeism and validated Brazilian version of the Nursing Work Index Revised. Multiple logistic regression analysis, significant associations if p<0.05. Results: Work environment showed an average score of 3.10 for nurses and nursing technicians. The more unfavorable the environment, the greater the likelihood employees will no show up for work. Factors that increase the probability of absenteeism: being single or divorced and working night shifts. Factors that reduce this probability: being a nurse and having another job. Conclusion: A work environment unfavorable to professional practice increases the probability of absenteeism for nurses and nursing technicians.

Conclusión: Un ambiente de trabajo desfavorable para la práctica profesional aumenta las posibilidades de absentismo de enfermeros y técnicos de enfermería.

Abstract With the emergence of new variants of SARS-CoV-2, questions about transmissibility, vaccine efficacy, and impact on mortality are important to support decision-making in public health measures. Modifications related to transmissibility combined with the fact that much of the population has already been partially exposed to infection and/or vaccination, have stimulated recommendations to reduce the isolation period for COVID-19. However, these new guidelines have raised questions about their effectiveness in reducing contamination and minimizing impact in work environments. Therefore, a collaborative task force was developed to review the subject in a non-systematic manner, answering questions about SARS-CoV-2 variants, COVID-19 vaccines, isolation/quarantine periods, testing to end the isolation period, and the use of masks as mitigation procedures. Overall, COVID-19 vaccines are effective in preventing severe illness and death but are less effective in preventing infection in the case of the Omicron variant. Any strategy that is adopted to reduce the isolation period should take into consideration the epidemiological situation of the geographical region, individual clinical characteristics, and mask for source control. The use of tests for isolation withdrawal should be evaluated with caution, due to results depending on various conditions and may not be reliable.

Abstract An extraordinary moment of agricultural modernization is currently underway due to innovations in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). In this process, management precepts are renewed, fostering significant gains in efficiency, productivity, and sustainable use of natural resources and the environment. The growing supply of ICTs and the extension of connectivity in rural areas, with their transforming roles in productive practices and economic relations, bring about questions regarding their impacts. These technologies include precision positioning systems and large volume databases, electronic sensors of site-specific production and environmental conditions, repositories of relational data, statistical and crop forecasting software, methodologies and processes; web-based information services, among others. The assessment of impacts focused on ICTs for agriculture needs innovative approaches, due to the peculiarities of their applications, the different scales of their socioenvironmental scopes and, at the same time, the verification of effectiveness of institutional investments on research, development, and innovation (RD&I). Based on these premises, the objectives of this work are to present a ‘module of impact indicators for Information and Communication Technologies (Ambitec-TICs)’, and assess its application to six typical technology adoption cases resulting from agricultural RD&I projects. The results detail critical analyses of the contributions of the proposed module for the registration, interpretation, and communication of impacts, with recommendations for technology transfer and accountability in institutional Social Balance documentation.

Método estudo transversal e correlacional, em unidade de urgência e emergência com técnicos de enfermagem. Aplicado instrumento com dados sociodemográficos e laborais, absenteísmo referido e versão brasileira validada para técnicos de enfermagem do Nursing Work Index Revised (B-NWI-R). Resultados participaram 62 técnicos de enfermagem, predominância do sexo feminino, jovens, trabalho de 36 a 40 horas semanais e turno diurno. Absenteísmo foi referido por 33,87% dos participantes e o ambiente de trabalho foi considerado favorável à prática, com média 2,47. A cada ponto na escala B-NWI-R a chance de absenteísmo aumenta em 2,63 vezes, ou seja, quanto mais desfavorável à prática profissional é o ambiente de trabalho maior é a chance de absenteísmo. Conclusão um ambiente de trabalho desfavorável à prática profissional aumenta a chance de absenteísmo entre os técnicos de enfermagem. Implicações para a prática uma análise do absenteísmo associada ao ambiente de trabalho dos técnicos de enfermagem contribui para que os gerentes de enfermagem criem estratégias para melhorar o ambiente de trabalho.

Instrument applied with sociodemographic and work data, referred absenteeism and validated Brazilian version for nursing technicians of the Nursing Work Index Revised (B-NWI-R). Results a total of 62 nursing technicians participated, predominantly female, young, working from 36 to 40 hours a week and day shift. Absenteeism was reported by 33.87% of the participants and the work environment was considered favorable to the practice, with a mean of 2.47. At each point on the B-NWI-R scale, the chance of absenteeism increases by 2.63 times, that is, the more unfavorable the professional practice is to the work environment, the greater the chance of absenteeism. Conclusion a work environment unfavorable for the professional practice increases the chance of absenteeism among nursing technicians. Implications for the practice an analysis of absenteeism associated with the work environment of nursing technicians helps nursing managers to create strategies to improve the work environment.

El ausentismo fue reportado por el 33,87% de los participantes y el ambiente de trabajo se consideró favorable a la práctica, con un promedio de 2,47. En cada punto de la escala B- NWI-R, la posibilidad de absentismo aumenta en 2,63 veces, es decir, cuanto más desfavorable sea la práctica profesional en el entorno laboral, mayores serán las posibilidades de absentismo. Conclusión un ambiente de trabajo desfavorable para la práctica profesional aumenta las posibilidades de absentismo entre los técnicos de enfermería. Implicaciones para la práctica un análisis del absentismo asociado con el ambiente de trabajo de los técnicos de enfermería ayuda a los gerentes de enfermería a crear estrategias para mejorar el ambiente de trabajo.
