Resumo Interrogamos o que se mostra da colaboração nas dissertações e na tese desenvolvidas em um contexto de formação continuada de professores em Modelagem Matemática na Educação Matemática. Assumindo a postura fenomenológica de investigação, focam-se seis dissertações e uma tese produzidas por professores que integram uma formação continuada em Modelagem, a qual é a mais longeva no âmbito da extensão e pesquisa brasileira sobre o tema. A análise fenomenológica-hermenêutica das duas categorias que se abriram deste estudo revelou que o modo de o sujeito se ver e se colocar no grupo é que abre o espaço para a colaboração. Estar em, estar com, estar no, são todos modos específicos que cada um tem de se colocar no âmbito coletivo, frente a mais alguém.

Abstract In this paper, we ask what can be found about collaboration in the dissertations and the theses produced in a context of continuing teacher education in Mathematical Modeling in Mathematics Education. By taking a phenomenological research stance, we consider six dissertations and one thesis produced by professors who are part of a continuing teacher education initiative in Modeling, which stands out for remaining in place for the longest time, within the scope of Brazilian research and extension projects focused on this theme. The phenomenologicalhermeneutic analysis of the two categories that emerged from this study revealed that the subject's way of seeing himself/herself and placing himself/herself in the group is what opens the space for collaboration. Being in and being with are specific ways that each individual has to place themselves in the collective domain, in the face of someone else.

Resumo Repercute das pesquisas produzidas pela comunidade da Educação Matemática um discurso de incentivo voltado à adoção da Modelagem na escola. Embora esse discurso seja reconhecido, faz-se necessário trazer à clareza o que a comunidade busca expressar quando se refere à essa adoção. Assim, assumindo a atitude fenomenológica de investigação interrogamos: o que se mostra sobre a adoção da Modelagem Matemática na literatura produzida no âmbito da Educação Matemática? Essa interrogação levou-nos a considerar 109 pesquisas dirigidas à Modelagem, disponibilizadas no Catálogo de Dissertações de Teses da Comissão de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, no Google Acadêmico e na Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações. A análise delas revelou que recorrentes menções à adoção da Modelagem restringem-se aos aspectos favoráveis, desafios e procedimentos necessários ao trabalho com ela na escola, não havendo iniciativas que busquem entender a adoção focando aquele que é o sujeito passível de adotá-la, o professor.

Abstract An incentive discourse aimed at adopting Modeling at school affects the research produced by the Mathematics Education Community. Although this discourse is recognized, it is necessary to clarify what the community seeks to express when referring to this adoption. Thus, assuming the phenomenological attitude of research, we ask: what is seen on the adoption of Mathematical Modeling in the literature produced within the scope of Mathematics Education? This interrogation led us to consider 109 researches directed to Modeling, made available in the Catalog of Theses Dissertations of the Commission for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, in Google Academic and in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations. Their analysis revealed that recurrent mentions to the adoption of Modeling are restricted to the favorable aspects, challenges, and procedures necessary to work with it at school, with no initiatives seeking to understand the adoption by focusing on who is the subject able to adopt it, the teacher.

Resumo: Este artigo busca apresentar e discutir reflexões sobre o fenômeno formação de professores em modelagem a partir de professores egressos do PDE. Tais reflexões se constituíram na interpretação dos dados (depoimento e observação das aulas) de oito professores que participaram do Programa de Desenvolvimento Educacional (PDE) do Estado do Paraná e que utilizaram a Modelagem Matemática em seus projetos de implementação. Essas reflexões apontam para fragilidades com que as formações têm sido desenvolvidas, bem como para aspectos tidos como fundamentais na formação de professores, mas, que precisam ser questionados: "uma formação adequada exige um tempo maior"; "uma formação que envolva a prática pedagógica garante mudanças em sala de aula". Assim, diferentes reflexões se mostram significativas para que a formação de professores em Modelagem possa avançar e contribuir para a sua permanência em âmbito educacional.

Abstract: This article seeks to present and discuss reflections about the phenomenon teachers' education in Modeling from teachers who are former students of EDP. These reflections consisted of the interpretation of the data (interview and observation of the classes) of eight teachers who participated to the Educational Development Program (EDP) of Paraná State and used Mathematical Modeling in their implementation projects. These reflections point to weaknesses with the teachers' education, as well as aspects taken as fundamental in the teachers' education, but which need to be questioned: "adequate teacher education requires a longer time"; "The teachers' education that involves pedagogical practices ensures changes in the classroom". Thus, different reflections are significant that the teachers' education in Modeling can advance and contribute to the permanence of Modeling in the educational field.

As pesquisas em Modelagem Matemática na Educação Matemática são realizadas há mais de três décadas no Brasil. Nesse período, é possível afirmar que há predominância da abordagem da pesquisa qualitativa. Nesse contexto, explicitamos alguns significados da pesquisa qualitativa em Modelagem Matemática na Educação Matemática no Brasil. Tais significados são descortinados sob uma abordagem fenomenológica de pesquisa, sobre a questão: como se mostra a pesquisa qualitativa em Modelagem Matemática na Educação Matemática? O solo para o qual a interrogação se direciona são os trabalhos publicados no III Seminário Internacional de Pesquisa em Educação Matemática SIPEM, realizado em 2006. As interpretações indicam fragilidades acerca do uso da abordagem qualitativa, principalmente, quanto à descrição detalhada dos procedimentos de análise, carecendo, portanto, de debates mais amplos para o avanço da pesquisa em Modelagem Matemática na Educação Matemática.

Research on Mathematical Modelling in Mathematics Education has been carried out in Brazil for over three decades. In this period of time, it's possible to confirm that the qualitative research approach is predominant. In this context, we make explicit some meanings of qualitative research in Mathematical Modelling in Mathematics Education in Brazil. Some meanings are unraveled using a phenomenological approach to the question: How does qualitative research show itself in Mathematical Modelling in Mathematics Education? Papers published in the III International Seminar for Research in Mathematics Education - SIPEM, held in 2006, provide the basis for the discussion. The interpretations point to fragilities with respect to the usage of qualitative approach, mainly a lack of detailed descriptions of the procedures of the analysis, which need to be more broadly debated in order to contribute to progress in research in Mathematical Modelling in Mathematics Education.

Este estudo visou analisar as pesquisas em Modelagem Matemática na área da Educação Matemática no Brasil, investigando os trabalhos que adotam esse enfoque, publicados nos anais do 3º. Seminário Internacional de Pesquisa em Educação Matemática, em 2007. A postura assumida é a fenomenológica, e as interpretações são pautadas no movimento hermenêutico, que aponta para uma metacompreensão do tema. Os núcleos de ideias emergem dos invariantes articulados no processo de efetuar convergências, como, por exemplo, a pesquisa que se centra prioritariamente nos modos pelos quais o professor trabalha tópicos de conteúdos matemáticos com o recurso da modelagem. Esse invariante elucidativo pode indicar fragilidades quando os pesquisadores permanecem apenas no "como fazer"; pode também indicar possibilidades de compreender concepções e sua conversão em práticas desenvolvidas em sala de aula.

The purpose of this study was to analyze researches in mathematical modeling in the area of Mathematics Education in Brazil. Is was investigated the mathematical modeling papers published in the Proceedings of the Third International Seminar for Research in Mathematics Education - Sipem (2007). The phenomenological point of view was adopted, basing the interpretations on the hermeneutic movement, aiming move toward a metacomprehension about this topic. The core ideas emerge from the invariants articulated in the process of making convergences as, for example, the research which the primary focus was on the modes through which teachers work some topics of mathematical program employing the modeling recourse. These invariants may indicate weaknesses when the researches remain only in the "how-to"; but they may also point out new possibilities for understanding conceptions and their conversion in classroom practices.
