Resumo Neste estudo investigou-se a emergência de classes de equivalência generalizada, com inclusão de reforçadores específicos em bebês de 24 meses. Relações auditivo-visuais (AB e AC) foram ensinadas, com consequências específicas (D), para 5 bebês entre 18 e 20 meses de idade. Testes de nomeação e de relações emergentes foram realizados (BC, CB, AD, DE e EB, com semelhança física dos estímulos E e B). Três participantes formaram de classes de equivalência, incluindo os reforçadores específicos (ABCD), e dois deles apresentaram nomeação consistente. Dois participantes apresentaram desempenho correspondente à equivalência generalizada. Os resultados indicaram (a) a inédita formação de classes de equivalência generalizada com inclusão de reforçadores específicos em bebês, e (b) que a nomeação pode não ser condição necessária para a formação de classes.

Abstract This study assessed the emergence of generalized equivalence classes, with the inclusion of specific reinforcers, by infants up to 24 months old. Auditory-visual relations (AB and AC) were taught, with specific consequences (D), for five infants aged between 18 and 20 months. Naming and emergent relations tests (BC, CB, AD, DE and EB, with B and E stimuli physically similar). Three participants demonstrated equivalence classes formation, including specific reinforcers (ABCD), and two of them presented consistent naming. Two participants demonstrated generalized equivalence classes. The results indicated the unprecedented formation of generalized equivalence classes with the inclusion of specific reinforcers in babies, and that naming may not be a necessary condition for the formation of classes.

Resumo: O estudo teve o objetivo de ensinar frações unitárias e não unitárias para três adolescentes com deficiência visual, empregando tentativas discretas, instruções orais e reforçamento diferencial em um delineamento do tipo A-B com follow up. O procedimento consistiu do levantamento do repertório de entrada, intervenção e sondas de aprendizagem. Na intervenção, empregaram-se materiais concretos e instruções orais com e sem dicas. A manutenção da aprendizagem foi avaliada 30 dias após o encerramento da intervenção. Na linha de base, os participantes identificaram igualdade, diferença e metade de quatro e seis peças. Na intervenção, as atividades relativas à metade/terço/quarto de quantidade superior a dez unidades foram realizadas ao final do período. A verificação da manutenção da aprendizagem foi bem-sucedida para os participantes. A adaptação de materiais concretos e instruções permitiram o domínio de tarefas de produção de frações.

Abstract: The study aimed to teach unit and non-unit fractions for three adolescents with visual impairment, using discrete attempts, oral instructions and differential reinforcement in an A-B design follow-up. The procedure consisted of baseline repertoire assessment, intervention, and learning probes. In the intervention, concrete materials and oral instructions, with or without prompts, were employed. Maintenance was assessed 30 days after the closure of intervention. At baseline, participants identified equality; difference and half of four and six pieces. In the intervention, the activities related to the half / third / fourth parts of more than ten units were done at the end of the period. Verification of learning maintenance was successful for the participants. The adaptation of concrete materials and instructions led to command of fraction production.

As interações de crianças cegas têm sido objeto de crescente interesse nas últimas décadas. Diante disso, os objetivos desse estudo, propostos em classes inclusivas da Educação Infantil, foram: caracterizar a interação social de crianças cegas que receberam ou não estimulação constante e especializada; e caracterizar a interação social de crianças cegas e videntes. Participaram duas crianças cegas com aproximadamente cinco anos e seus colegas de sala regular. Foram organizadas situações em que as crianças pudessem brincar, e seus desempenhos foram videogravados. Foi adotado um sistema de classificação que permitiu a análise comparativa das interações dos participantes e utilizado o SPSS-WIN (13.0) para realizar as análises estatísticas. Foram encontradas semelhanças e diferenças significativas ao comparar as características das interações das crianças cegas com as das videntes. Foi possível verificar que, havendo estimulação constante e especializada, a criança cega apresenta comportamentos semelhantes aos de uma criança vidente no ambiente escolar.

Blind children' interactions have been the subject of increasing interest in recent decades. Therefore, the main objectives of this study, proposed to inclusive kindergarten, is to characterize the social interaction of blind children who either received or not a specialized and constant stimulation. We intend to characterize the social interaction of blind children with those who can see Two blind children with approximately five years old and their classmates participated in the research. We organized situations in which children could play. Their performances were videotaped. The classification system used allowed the comparative analysis of the interactions of the participants and was adopted the SPSS-WIN (13.0) for data analysis. We found similarities and differences when compared characteristics of the interactions between blind children with those of the seers. When there is constant stimulation the blind children have a behavior similar to those of children who see.

La interacción de niños ciegos ha sido objeto de creciente interés en las últimas décadas. Los objetivos de este estudio fueron propuestos en aulas inclusivas de Educación Infantil y fueron: caracterizar la interacción social de niños ciegos que recibieron o no estimulación constante y especializada; y caracterizar la interacción social de niños ciegos y videntes. Participaron dos niños ciegos con aproximadamente cinco años y sus compañeros de sala regular. Se organizaron situaciones en que los niños pudiesen jugar y sus desempeños fueron grabados en video. Se adoptó un sistema de clasificación que permitió el análisis comparativo de las interacciones de los participantes y se utilizó el SPSS-WIN (13.0) para realizar los análisis estadísticos. Se encontraron semejanzas y diferencias significativas al comparar las características de las interacciones entre los niños ciegos con la interacción entre niños ciegos y videntes. Fue posible verificar que habiendo estimulación constante y especializada el niño ciego presenta comportamientos semejantes a los de un niño vidente en ambiente escolar.

o objetivo do presente estudo foi apresentar o desenvolvimento geral e o desenvolvimento em áreas específicas (cognição, linguagem, desenvolvimento motor, autocuidados e socialização) de uma criança cega que recebeu estimulação constante e especializada de outra criança cega que recebeu apenas estimulação assistemática e de crianças cegas com crianças videntes. Participaram deste estudo duas crianças cegas e duas crianças videntes do sexo masculino com até seis anos de idade, matriculadas em salas regulares de duas escolas públicas. O instrumento utilizado para coleta de dados foi o Inventário Portage Operacionalizado. Os dados foram analisados com base no cálculo da reta de regressão do desenvolvimento global e nas cinco áreas específicas. A partir dessas análises, verificou-se que recebendo estimulação constante e especializada a criança cega apresenta desempenhos semelhantes aos de uma criança vidente no ambiente escolar. Com base nas avaliações realizadas dos desempenhos das crianças cegas, ressalta-se que ao contrário da criança cega que recebeu estimulação constante e especializada e obteve desenvolvimento esperado para sua faixa-etária, a criança que recebeu apenas estimulação assistemática, apresentou acentuados atrasos de desenvolvimento em todas as áreas observadas. É possível supor que havendo apenas comprometimento visual, as crianças cegas devidamente estimuladas desde os primeiros anos de vida podem apresentar níveis de desenvolvimento esperados para a faixa etária. De modo geral, os resultados desse estudo, embora não permitam generalizações em função da pequena amostra, evidenciam importantes aspectos do desenvolvimento de crianças cegas e crianças videntes, contribuindo para enriquecer a literatura a respeito dessa temática.

The aim of this study was to present the overall development and development in specific areas (cognition, language, motor development, socialization and self-care) of a blind child who received constant and specialized stimulation with another blind child who received unsystematic stimulation and to compare blind children with sighted children. The study included two blind boys and two sighted boys up to six years old, enrolled in regular classrooms in two public schools. The instrument used for data collection was the Operationalized Portage Inventory. Data were analyzed based on the calculation of the regression line of the global development and of five specific areas. From these tests, the results indicated that the blind child who received constant and specialized stimulation during his early years presented performance similar to a sighted child in the school environment. Based on the assessments made in the performance of blind children, it was verified that unlike of blind child, who received constant and specialized stimulation and presented expected development for his age group, the other child, who received only unsystematic stimulation, presented marked developmental delays in all areas observed. One can assume that when there is only visual impairment, blind children who are properly stimulated from the earliest years of life may present developmental levels expected for their age. Even though the small sample doesn't allow for generalizations, in general the results of this study demonstrate important aspects of the development of blind children and of sighted children, contributing to enriching the literature on this topic.

Este estudo caracterizou a aquisição e o desenvolvimento do controle instrucional de três crianças familiares entre si que freqüentavam uma creche. Uma delas apresentou déficit no dar, receber e seguir instruções e teve seu desenvolvimento localizado abaixo da pauta. Registrou-se o desempenho instrucional das crianças ao longo de sete meses através de videogravações durante períodos de brincadeira. Foram identificadas: as instruções, o desempenho dos ouvintes ao receberem a instrução e as situações antecedente e subseqüente ao comportamento de instruir e de ser instruído. Houve incremento dos comportamentos de instruir, de ser instruído e de seguir instruções para as três crianças. Instruções orais e instruções orais/gestuais ocorreram com maior freqüência. As crianças seguiam parte das instruções que recebiam reforçando intermitentemente o comportamento de instruir. Discute-se a apresentação e o atendimento das instruções analisando-se os comportamentos de falante e ouvinte e as possibilidades de desenvolvimento do repertório instrucional de crianças com déficit no dar e seguir instruções.

This study characterized the acquisition and development of instructional control of three children who attended a daycare center. One child presented a deficit in giving, receiving and following instructions and the child's development was below scale. The instructional performance of the children was registered in video recordings of play periods for over seven months. The recordings registered: the instructions, the performance of the listeners when the instruction was received and the situations before and after the behavior of instructing and being instructed. There was an increase in instructing, being instructed and following instruction behaviors for all three children. Oral instructions and oral instructions with gestures occurred with greater frequency. The children who followed part of the instructions received intermittent reinforcement of the instructing behavior. The presentation and appropriate response to instructions was analyzed in terms of the behaviors of the speakers and listeners, and the development of instruction repertoires in children with deficits in giving and following instructions.
