RESUMO O Brasil é um importante produtor de têxteis e confecção. Possui o quarto maior parque fabril e é o quinto maior produtor de têxteis do mundo. Em contrapartida, também é responsável pela produção de toneladas de resíduos sólidos que, na sua maioria, é descartada em aterros sanitários, aterros controlados e lixões. Parte dos resíduos têxteis descartados é encaminhado para reciclagem, gerando diferentes tipos de produtos finais, inclusive novos tecidos. Os tecidos reciclados são produzidos no Brasil há mais de duas décadas, porém, somente nos últimos anos que esta matéria prima está sendo empregada na produção de vestuário, calçados e acessórios. Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar a estrutura de um tecido produzido a partir de fios obtidos da reciclagem de algodão e garrafas PET (polietileno tereftalato) e avaliar seu desempenho em relação ao conforto termo fisiológico e à resistência à tração, quando comparado a um tecido produzido a partir de fibras virgens. A metodologia utilizada partiu da seleção de um tipo de tecido que apresentasse características similares relacionadas à composição, ligamento e à gramatura, sendo ele constituído de filamentos reciclados e 100% virgens. O tecido selecionado para a pesquisa foi do tipo sarja 3x1com composição mista de algodão e poliéster. Foram realizados ensaios de tração, permeabilidade ao vapor de água, condutividade térmica, titulação e micrografias. Os resultados obtidos indicam que o tecido reciclado utilizado nesta pesquisa é viável para a produção de roupas para as estações outono/inverno, e para desenvolvimento de roupas cujas modelagens apresentem folga de vestibilidade.

ABSTRACT Brazil is an important producer of textiles and clothing. It owns the fourth largest manufacturing park and is the fifth largest producer of textiles in the world. On the other hand, it is also responsible for the production of tons of solid waste, which is mostly discarded in landfills, controlled landfills and dumps. Part of the discarded textile waste is sent for recycling, generating different types of final products, including new fabrics. Recycled fabrics have been produced in Brazil for more than two decades, but only in recent years has this raw material been used in the production of clothing, footwear and accessories. The objective of this work is to analyze the structure of a fabric produced from yarn obtained from the recycling of cotton and PET bottles (polyethylene terephthalate) and to evaluate its performance in relation to the thermophysiological comfort and the tensile strength when compared to a fabric produced at from virgin fibers. The methodology used was based on the selection of a type of tissue that presented similar characteristics related to the composition, ligament and weight, being composed of recycled filaments and 100% virgin. The fabric selected for the research was 3x1 twill type with mixed composition of cotton and polyester. Traction tests, water vapor permeability, thermal conductivity, titration and micrographs were performed. The results indicate that the recycled fabric used in this research is feasible for the production of clothes for the autumn / winter seasons, and for the development of clothes whose models have vestigial playability.

ABSTRACT Friction between the interface workpiece and tooling has considerable importance in sheet metal forming operations; an accurate description of the friction is necessary to analyze and design new workpieces and tooling. This work suggests a methodology to determine and evaluate the mean coefficient of friction (COF) using the Finite Element Method (FEM) through Dynaform for the aluminum alloy AA1100. The results indicate that this methodology is consistent with reality. It is also observed that the software tends to diverge from the measured results because the software considers the COF to be constant along the process. Despite this trend, the greatest distance between the maximum drawing force given by the measurement and the numeric simulation was not high: it was approximately 6%. Workpiece strain measurements were collected to compare with the numerical simulation results, and it was observed that they are generally in agreement.

There are 6 different types of equations that have been formulated to measure friction through the bending under tension test, however, there is no work to show whether these calculations actually represent what is happening in a sheet metal stamping process. This paper aims to make a direct comparison between the bending under tension test and the sheet metal forming of a test piece to see if the friction coefficient reported by the test is able to predict friction in a real part. Several sources of information were used such as computer simulations, bending under tension test with different sensors and sheet metal forming tests of a cylindrical geometry to evaluate the friction. The results indicate that the equations already developed are not able to accurately predict the friction at the sheet interface and, therefore, a new equation was developed for this that is simpler to measure and presented satisfactory results.

RESUMO Os avanços industriais para o setor de vestuário, ligam os desejos e as necessidades dos usuários a soluções relacionadas a aspectos da moda, da tecnologia e do conforto dos tecidos. Com o objetivo de contribuir para o desenvolvimento de processos de inovação por meio do design, o presente estudo analisa a eficácia de dois produtos hidrofóbicos de empresas do Rio Grande do Sul, o produto 1495 da Claritex e o produto 1003 da Corium. Estes produtos foram aplicados nos tecidos Dress e Sublime, ambos com 90% poliéster 10% elastano e estampados por sublimação, da empresa têxtil Santaconstancia, São Paulo. Busca-se avaliar se os tecidos perdem as propriedades hidrofóbicas após várias lavagens e se mantêm sua permeabilidade ao vapor de água, a qual contribui ao conforto térmico. Foram analisados, o processo de lavagem doméstica, os ensaios de permeabilidade ao vapor de água e o ângulo de contato da gota. Os resultados mostraram que os dois produtos hidrofóbicos analisados são eficazes, mas o produto 1003 obteve a maior média do ângulo de contato da gota após 20 lavagens. Outro resultado obtido foi que os tecidos analisados não sofreram mudanças significativas nos valores de permeabilidade ao vapor de água quando comparados aos tecidos crus, sem aplicação de estampa e sem o produto hidrofóbico.

ABSTRACT Industrial breakthroughs for the clothing sector connect the consumers' desires and needs to solutions related to fashion and technology aspects, and the comfort of the fabrics. In order to contribute to the development of innovation processes through design, this study examines the effectiveness of two hydrophobic products from Rio Grande do Sul companies: the product 1495, from Claritex, and the product 1003 from Corium. These products were applied to the fabrics Dress and Sublime, both with 90% polyester, and 10% elastane, and printed by sublimation, from the textile company Santaconstancia. The objective is to evaluate if the fabrics lose their hydrophobic properties after multiple washings, and if they maintain their permeability to water steam, which contributes to thermal comfort. It was analyzed assays with resistance to domestic laundering, the water steam permeability and the contact angle from the drop of water. The results showed that both hydrophobic products analyzed are effective, but the product 1003 had the highest average of contact angle from the drop of water after 20 washes. Another result is that the fabrics analyzed haven't suffered significant changes in the permeability to the water steam values when they compared to fabrics without application of print and the hydrophobic product.

RESUMO A lubrificação em estampagem de peças tem um papel importante no processo de produção, auxiliando na redução do enrugamento, fratura prematura e afinamentos muito localizados da espessura da chapa. Para tal, o lubrificante deve ser capaz de reduzir o atrito a níveis baixos mas não tão baixos a ponto de promover outros tipos de defeitos como o enrugamento da chapa. Uma boa lubrificação também reduz o desgaste prematuro das ferramentas de estampagem que são utilizadas para produção de peças, assim como é essencial para se ter sucesso no processo desenvolvimento de novas peças. Neste trabalho, 4 condições de lubrificações foram avaliadas (3 lubrificantes líquidos e a ausência de lubrificantes) através do ensaio DST (Dobramento Sob Tensão) e ensaio Swift (deep drawing test). A atuação benéfica (redução do atrito) ao processo de estampagem, dos lubrificantes, foi testada através da medição da força máxima de embutimento no ensaio Swift, da força em cada lado da chapa, torque e força vertical no pino do ensaio DST. O material de estudo foi o alumínio comercialmente puro AA1100. As conclusões indicam que o lubrificante que minimiza o atrito sempre fica evidente, não importando o tipo do ensaio a que a chapa foi submetida, porém a medição do torque facilita a identificação do mesmo. É observado também que a medição da força vertical gerada no pino é menor quanto mais ineficiente for o lubrificante.

ABSTRACT The lubrication in sheet metal forming plays an important role in the production process, helping to reduce the wrinkling, premature fracture and very localized thinning of the sheet thickness. To this end, the lubricant should be able to reduce friction at low levels but not so low that promote other kinds of defects such as wrinkling of the sheet. A good lubrication also reduces premature wear of the stamping tools used to produce parts, as it is essential for success in the process of developing new parts. In this work, four lubrication conditions were evaluated (3 liquid lubricants and the absence of lubricants) by the bending under tension test (BUT) and deep drawing test. The performance of the lubricants were evaluated by measuring the maximum force of deep drawing test, the forces on each side of the sheet, torque and vertical force on the pin of the BUT test. The material used was the commercially pure aluminum AISI AA1100 alloy. The results indicate that the best lubricant always show the best performance no matter what type of test, but the measurement of torque facilitates the identification of it. It was also observed that the measurement of vertical force generated at the pin is smaller the more inefficient is the lubricant.

RESUMO Na Engenharia de Fabricação, existem diversas áreas de conhecimento voltadas ao estudo dos processos de fabricação que dão origem aos produtos fornecidos para as indústrias de transformação e produtos destinados aos consumidores finais que podem ser processados a partir de chapas, fios, barras e perfis. Em ambos os casos, um dos processos de fabricação mais usado é a "Conformação Mecânica" que é o processo mecânico onde se obtém peças através da compressão de metais sólidos em moldes, utilizando a deformação plástica da matéria-prima para o preenchimento das cavidades dos moldes. No entanto, existe um processo que pode fazer isso sem a necessidade de moldes, a chamada 'Estampagem Incremental' que consiste em desenhar o formato da peça em uma fresadora CNC através de um punção cilíndrico com ponta arredondada. O objetivo do presente artigo é fazer um estudo sobre o processo de Estampagem Incremental de polímeros como sendo um novo tipo de tecnologia de Prototipagem Rápida que é baseada no processo de conformação de material, diferente dos processos já existentes de remoção ou adição de material. Os testes foram feitos em uma geometria em formato de tronco de pirâmide, em três estágios subsequentes e o objetivo é avaliar alguns parâmetros como a temperatura de trabalho e o diâmetro do punção no resultado final do protótipo. O material escolhido para o estudo foi o PVC pois esse está presente em muitos estudos já feitos sobre o assunto. Testes práticos com PVC indicaram que uma variação na temperatura de trabalho do material de 20°C resultou em um aumento significativo nos resultados de deformação quando feito os testes.

ABSTRACT In Manufacturing Engineering, there are several areas of knowledge focused on the study of manufacturing processes that give rise to products supplied to the processing industries and products to final consumers that can be processed from sheet, wires, rods and beams. In both cases, one of the most widely used manufacturing processes is the "Metal Forming" which is the mechanical process that pieces can be obtained by compression of solid metal in molds using plastic deformation of the material for filling the molds cavities. However, there is a process that can do the same without the need for molds, the so-called incremental sheet forming which consists of drawing the workpiece on a CNC form milling using a small cylindrical punch with a rounded tip. The purpose of this work is to make a study of the process of incremental sheet forming of polymers as a new type of rapid prototyping technology that is based on the process of forming material, different from the existing processes for removing or adding material. The tests were done in a geometry pyramid trunk format, in three subsequent stages and the objective is to evaluate some parameters such as temperature of working and the punch diameter in the final result of the prototype. The material chosen for the study was the PVC because that is present in many studies already done on the subject. Tests made with PVC indicated that a variation in 20°C of material working temperature resulted in a significant increase in forming results during the tests.
